The Faculty Student Exchange (FSE 123) is made up of teams consisting of 1 faculty member and 2 students for a 3-day visit at either Indiana University Bloomington (IUB) or Indiana University Purdue University at Indianapolis (IUPUI) campus. The faculty member should be from any of out IU-MSI partner institutions. One student should be a sophomore or junior who shows promise in the STEM disciplines and will likely be a candidate for the next Summer Scholars Institute(SSI) here at any of core campuses. The second student should, ideally, be an upper-level undergraduate or graduate student who works in the faculty member's lab.
Minority Serving Institutions (MSIs) based teams can visit either of the IU core campuses during the Fall, Spring or Summer sessions. The MSI faculty member will meet the host colleagues to further develop collaborative research projects/plans and further discuss best matches with IU faculty among their MSI students for a sponsored spot in the SSI.
